Prevention of outdoor workers' heat illness includes water, shade, training, and breaks. California is developing an indoor workplace heat illness prevention standard, and Federal OSHA is creating its own standards. Cal/OSHA promoted Safe + Sound Week, advocating for employee well-being and productivity.
